Paranoid is a first-person psychological horror experience focused on perception, tension, and the gradual collapse of reality. You explore environments through classic first-person movement: WASD to move, mouse to look, shift to run, and space to jump. There are no weapons; your only tools are awareness, observation, and the hope that what you see is real.

Story

You awaken from a fragmented nightmare inside your neglected apartment. The walls are worn, the air is heavy, and a sharp headache clouds your thoughts. Your medication has run out, and without it the world feels unstable— shapes shift at the edges of your vision, and silence carries a strange weight.

With no choice but to seek relief, you head out on a quiet walk through the empty forest-side road toward the nearest store. The world seems calm enough, yet something about the stillness feels slightly off, as if the environment itself is holding its breath. At the pharmacy, the cashier’s behavior is difficult to read—friendly, uncomfortable, or something in between.

The trip back home becomes tense in a way you can’t quite explain. What should be a simple walk feels increasingly unfamiliar, and by the time you reach your door, the unease has settled somewhere deep in your chest. Inside, the atmosphere shifts again, and what you find in your apartment forces you to question your memory, your senses, and your understanding of the night.

As the story progresses, the line between what you experienced and what you believe becomes harder to define. Conversations don’t add up. People seem to know things you don’t. And soon, you’re left wondering whether the danger comes from outside—or from somewhere much closer.
